🔥 A Token Just Showed Up in My Wallet… What Do I Do?
You open Phantom and… boom! A random coin is sitting there 😳 $ZEBRAJUICE? $LOLHACK? What is this?
Here’s what it means—and what you should (and shouldn’t) do next.
🧨 First: Don’t Interact
Some of these mystery tokens are harmless memes from friends.
Others are scams that can drain your wallet if you try to swap or burn them.
Rule #1: Do NOT click, send, or interact with it—especially if you don’t recognize the source.
🔍 Where Did It Come From?
- It might be from a friend experimenting with token creation
- It could be part of an airdrop campaign
- Or it’s a scam hoping you’ll click a phishing site
To check, go to solscan.io and paste the token address.
🧼 How to Hide It
In Phantom:
- Click on the token
- Hit the three dots (⋯)
- Select “Hide Token”
That’s it. Out of sight, out of mind.
💬 Can I Delete It?
Not really. Tokens on Solana live on the blockchain.
But you can revoke permissions using SolBlaze Guardian Or simply ignore it—it can’t hurt you unless you interact with it.
✅ Final Tip
Getting random tokens is part of Web3. Most are just noise, a few are fun. Always stay cautious—and ask your friends before clicking anything 🚫
